Draft Heritage preservation Plan
The FINAL draft of the Heritage Preservation Plan is available for review. The Heritage Commission and Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval of the plan. City Council will consider formal adoption of the plan at its meeting on November 26, 2018.
Public Workshop #3
On Aug. 30, 2018, Public Workshop #3 was held at the Harrington Library. This workshop allowed the public to review the draft of Preservation Plano 150. Following Public Workshop #3, the project team made final edits to the plan.

While the City of Plano is gearing up to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2023, the City's history spans long before 1873. A timeline capturing Plano's history from 1500-present day was compiled as part of the Heritage Preservation Plan update and can be viewed using the link below.
POTENTIAL HERITAGE RESOURCES
Since 1981, the City of Plano has identified potentially historic properties as part of the city's preservation plan. Preservation Plano 150 continues this tradition with an updated list of Potential Heritage Resources and other properties which require more research.
